New boots and other goings on.
I just recently ordered these boots from Avenue. They're absolutely beautiful, but the heel is higher than what I'm used to, and they hurt the balls of my feet. Overall though, these are well worth the money.

Steampunk Purse
Today is my birthday, and yesterday I had some friends over for a little party. One of those friends happens to be a very good leather worker, and he gave me this beautiful purse for my birthday.

Fan
I modified my floor fan using some spray paint to look more steampunk.
It started life as a plain white floor fan. I took it completely apart except for the motor and painted it.
Now it would look right at home in any steampunk home or workshop. This is an example of a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to add a little steampunk style to an ordinary object. The whole project cost about $20 in paint, and I have enough left over for other projects. It took one evening to paint everything and 24 hours for the paint to dry. The keyboard project is taking a little longer than I expected as I've been having trouble tracking down all of the materials that I need, however I do believe I've found the final pieces and if when they arrive they are indeed the correct pieces, I will be back on track to finish the keyboard in about a week or 2.

In the Beginning
